At Selectblinds, I took on various roles, including animation and after effects editing. I collaborated with the Creative Director to create a more lively and engaging style for our videos. Before, they were very dull and lifeless. We added some personality and humor to them, which led to our new marketing slogan: Love is Blinds!
We redesigned the selectblinds about us section as a test before overhauling the whole website. This involved creating a new brand identity, new colors, new fonts, and a new design system of buttons, icons and rules. The about us section had 9 subpages: Our Story, Press room, Partnerships, Careers, Our Timeline, Our Products, Giving Back, Our Team, and Financing. They were all linked from the Our story page and the footer.
Selectblinds created a new team of design consultants in mid-2022. Their job was to talk to clients and create carts for them to place orders. Previously, this was done by customer service agents. We added a landing page on the website for the new team.
We wanted to redesign the home page pop up modal after establishing our new design system. We aimed for a simple and elegant look, so we researched our high-end competitors and other upscale furnishing companies for inspiration.
At selectblinds, I worked on various projects that taught me consistency and collaboration with other teams. As part of a small design team, I had to wear many hats and learn to prioritize and organize my tasks. I also helped translate the website into Spanish when we launched selectblinds in Spanish. Being fluent in Spanish, I assisted the translator with the challenging task of changing everything on each page.
